Meet Monty & Jess

We're a small business tucked away in the South Wairarapa. It's a special place with wild coastline, high mountains, and some of the country's best farmers and growers. Coming from generations of farmers in this region, food runs in our blood.

At Monty & Sons, we're pumped about sustainable farming and quality food that's not only healthy and honest, but good for the planet too. We spend our lives chasing waves and climbing mountains with our little family of two boys, and pasta is our go-to fuel for keeping energy levels high.

Our Purpose

The global food system is broken. We export our best food overseas and import cheaper, lower-quality alternatives back. We're here to flip that script. Starting with pasta, we're taking you on a journey to show you who we are and how your food is grown and made. We only use ingredients from New Zealand farmers with strong regenerative practices and environmental programs, giving you full traceability from paddock to plate while removing as much plastic from the supply chain as possible. We reckon keeping the good stuff here matters.

Our Mission

At Monty & Sons our mission is to keep New Zealand's best food in New Zealand, where it bloody well belongs. We craft premium pasta the right way - local grains, bronze-extruded, slow dried, plastic free. Zero food miles, maximum flavour, maximum stoke. We believe slow and local beats fast and cheap every damn time.
